G. F. Brynn enjoys writing and illustrating in equal measure in all his short stories, as well as the expansive ‘Alex Faraway’ trilogy. G. F. has had a variety of specialized life-experiences to draw upon in creating his sci-fi/fantasy, action stories - with flying small aircraft, scuba diving, mechanical innovation and design, and firearms instruction being among them. Growing up on the west coast of Canada in the 60s and 70s, in a single-parent home meant becoming self-sufficient at an early age. The “F” in his writer’s name is in honour of his dad, Frank, who died in a motorbike accident. G. F. Is a jack-of-all-trades and still takes pride in learning something new from knowledgeable people and passing his practical know-how on to anyone willing to listen and interact. G. F. is very patient has never thought his stories as “money-makers”, only that they will be enjoyed as great escapism adventures for anyone who is still a kid at heart. G. F. also has a typical Scott-Irish, diabolical sense of humour, and so, can never take life too seriously. Mischievously married to his wife of 38 years, and now retired from the rat-race, with two grown kids out the door, Gerald enjoys adding extra colours and avenues in which to share his ‘Alex Faraway’ universe.
